This course is based on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines for CPR and care for neonates
Based on the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation’s (ILCOR) science, which is regularly updated
Approximately 10% of newborns need basic assistance to start breathing just after birth and around 1% need extensive resuscitation to stay alive after birth
Learn early signs of respiratory distress/failure and when further intervention is needed, such as CPR
Lifesaving training specific to neonates
Learn through practical demonstrations
Includes an information booklet which is a summary of the AAP’s Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Textbook (original textbook can be purchased at an additional cost)
