About this course
- This course is based on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines for CPR and care for neonates
- Based on the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation’s (ILCOR) science, which is regularly updated
- Approximately 10% of newborns need basic assistance to start breathing just after birth and around 1% need extensive resuscitation to stay alive after birth
- Learn early signs of respiratory distress/failure and when further intervention is needed, such as CPR
- Lifesaving training specific to neonates
- Learn through practical demonstrations
- Includes an information booklet which is a summary of the AAP’s Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Textbook (original textbook can be purchased at an additional cost)
- Course completion certificate valid for 2 years
