About this course
  • Basic pediatric course for pediatric ward’s general nursing staff
  • Developed to meet the training needs of nursing staff who do not routinely need to perform resuscitation on infants and pediatric patients
  • Concentrate on a systematic approach to assess and recognize acute and potentially life-threatening conditions and refer to advanced providers for further intervention
  • Recognize and perform early high-quality CPR
  • Basic interventions to stabilize seriously ill or injured infants and children
  • Effective team interactions
  • Learn through practical demonstrations, core case discussions and simulations
  • Includes an American Heart Association (AHA) Provider Manual and PEARS Provider Card upon successfully completing the course, which is valid for 2 years
